Visitors came and went throughout the afternoon at Isle Area Chamber of Commerce’s Christmas in the Park.  It was an afternoon of visiting with our neighbors and toasting holiday cheer with coffee and hot chocolate. The Isle Lions sold Hot Dogs and Brats to fill our tummies.

The afternoon kicked off with a cookie contest.  Public participants tasted each of the 8 entries and voted for their favorite one.  At 4:00 pm votes were tallied and the winners were:

Christmas in the Park Cookie Contest1st Place – $75 in Chamberbucks – Margie Christensen with Swedish Cremes
2nd Place – $50 in Chamberbucks – Kendall Hursey with Oreo Balls
3rd Place – $25 in Chamberbucks – Linda Burch-Dahlen with Santa Cookies

Great job ladies!

Conrad Thomson along with Keith & ShadiAnn Shultze, son Derek and friend were kind enough to help Santa out and bring him and his helpers in by horse drawn wagons (due to lack of snow). Santa listened to the children’s, of all ages, Christmas wishes and took them for hayrides around town.

As the sun set and the cool air arrived, we gathered around the fire pit to keep us warm until the Lighting of the Christmas Tree!
